Taxi Wali is a hybrid
live-action film with moments of 2D animation.

It is the story of a female taxi driver from Tamil Nadu who disguises her gender to survive in the city of Bangalore. The film follows her journey through a series of intimate encounters with passengers, as she comes to confront her gender and identity.
The film adopts a quiet, observational gaze, lingering in in-between moments, chance encounters, and the emotional residue of movement through the city. Cinematography leans toward naturalistic light, confined interiors, and drifting rhythms, mirroring a life lived in transit and an identity slowly coming into focus.
